Abstract

On 8th October, 2016 Iurii Aleksandrovich Shirnin turned 70 years old and accomplished 43 years of loyal academic activity at Volga State University of Technology with a degree of a Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor, Honoured worker of science of the Russian Federation, Honoured worker of higher professional education, Honoured worker of science of the Mari El Republic, Emeritus Professor of Volga State University of Technology, Head of the Department of Timber Processing and Chemical Technologies at Volga State University of Technology to name just a few of his achievements.
